Where we celebrate the vibrant culture and creative spirit that define this beautiful city.
Welcome to the Historic Deuces District
Nestled along 22nd Street South in St. Petersburg, “The Deuces” was once the beating heart of a thriving African-American community — a place where Black-owned businesses flourished, neighbors built lasting legacies, and legends like Duke Ellington and Billie Holiday graced the stage.
Though the community endured decades of decline following the construction of I-275, the spirit of The Deuces remains unshaken. Today, The Deuces Live, Inc. is leading the charge to preserve, promote, and revitalize this culturally rich corridor — celebrating its past while building toward a bold, inclusive future.
Join us in keeping the Deuces alive and thriving.
